lung update + lymph node biopsy

Last week I had a scan to check on my lungs to determine if I could proceed with my Enhertu infusions.

The good news is - there is some healing in my lungs. Which makes my oncologist believe this was Interstitial Lung Disease.

But, of course, a complication popped up. My left armpit (axillary) lymph node was enlarged. It’s unclear from the scan if it was enlarged because of the typical process of your lymph nodes filtering out germs and things or if it is cancer. My oncologist was swift and immediately scheduled for a biopsy.

We are awaiting these results, which will be in tomorrow hopefully, to determine if I move ahead with continuing Enhertu.

If the lymph node is cancer then Enhertu failed and we’ll move to a new treatment. If it is not cancer then we’ll determine if my lungs can withstand more Enhertu treatment.
