enhertu - failed

“Involved by carcinoma” are the words that proved that Enhertu has failed me and shattered our hearts. We are moving through the stages of grief and right now I’m sitting in a lot of anger.

This means there is small progression of cancer in my lymph node. We are awaiting the rest of the pathology results for subtype and I have scans this week just to take a look at things and ensure it’s just bones and this one lymph node. I’m tentatively on the schedule for a new chemo, not 100% sure which yet, starting on Monday.

To update on my lungs as well - while there was an improvement in my lungs Enhertu did cause Interstitial Lung Disease. My oncologist would not have given me Enhertu today as he had worries it would land me in the ICU. So, overall, it is just time to retire it for me.

Doesn’t need to be said but prayers and good vibes as I pull myself together.

And if you see me drowning myself in ice cream or screaming at the sky no you didn’t.

Also, I wouldn’t be standing if it weren’t for my MVP, Joe

Enhertu: 11 cycles, treatment induced ILD, progression to left Axilla Lymph Node.
